Mwanaisha's story

Mwanaisha lives in the Likoni area of Coast Province, Kenya. She is married and has eight children. She owns a grocery shop, a business which has been running for 12 years. In the business, she sells coconuts.

She learned about Milango through friends who invited her to the group, and she joined with the aim of accessing credit to improve her business operations. Her main challenge is inflation.

Mwanaisha is applying for a loan of 52,250 Kenya shillings to buy stock of coconuts, brooms, graters, etc., for sale. The extra income from the loan will be added to her savings to improve the living standards of her family and pay school fees for her children.
