A loan of $1,200 helped to buy crates, chairs and wine for her bar.

Amble's story

The borrower is married with three children. They live in a three-bedroom apartment in Bamenda, North West Region, Cameroon. She has faced many challenges her life, including sickness, a bitter separation with her first husband and the deaths of her father, a group member and brother.

With this loan, she will buy crates, chairs and more wine to improve her bar. She believes the business will succeed because she has been doing it for many years and the community is in need of drinks. She believes the bar will be a good resting place for the community and that they will not have to travel long distances to buy wine or other drinks.

With the profit from this loan, she will contribute, with her husband, to educate her children. She prefers GHAPE loans because of the low interest rate and convenient repayment intervals. The loans are disbursed in times of need and the members are educated on management techniques before the loans are disbursed.
