Issa's story

Issa is a 57 year old male Ugandan, married to Cate with whom he has seven children aged 22, 20, 18, 15, 13, 11 and eight. Four of these attend school. He also looks after one elderly person.

Issa is a farmer growing bananas, cassava and sugarcane in Kahyoro-Muhorro, where his clients come from. He works 6 days a week and 13 hours a day. He also brews Waragi (a Local Brew) for additional income; he has been doing this since 2009.

Issa is seeking a loan facility of 1,000,000 UGX to buy machines to help him to cut sugarcane so he can brew alcohol from it as his dream is to prosper and grow his business into a big brewing business.

His challenge is seasonality of the business.

He is hard working and honest and extends his appreciation to the for providing these services to him.
