Fatuma's story

Fatuma is a married woman with one child who lives at home and attends school. The family lives in a rented house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food.


Fatuma sells clothes at the market to town dwellers and her neighbors. She cites her major challenge to be the uneven rate of sales which is affected by seasonal changes.
