Yi is a residence from Pursat province. She is married and has two children: a boy and a girl. The family's main source of income is from rice farming. Her husband also works at other jobs for additional income when he is free from the rice field. Raising piglets for sale is another source of income for their family.

Yi is now leading a loan group which consists of three female members to request loans from VisionFund. She will use her portion of the loan to buy more piglets. She hopes that these pigs will be healthy and can be sold for higher price.

The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.

Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
