A loan of $625 helped to buy wood furniture, wardrobe closets, and other items.

Kelly's story

Kelly, 22, lives with her husband in the city of Cartagena de Indias, where she sells merchandise such as wardrobe closets and items that appeal to women. She sells for cash form 8 AM until 5 PM. Her main customers are women, teenagers, and children from the neighborhood. Kelly's store has grown little by little; however, her desire to increase her clientele can not be achieved with her own capital.

So she has applied for her first Kiva loan, through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to buy wood furniture, wardrobe closets, and other items so that she can have a tremendous presentation to offer her customers during the busiest month of the year, which includes Mother's Day. Her long-term goal is to finish her studies so that she can have a bright, successful future.
