Ruben currently grows vegetables as does his wife who also weeds the fields. The produce is sold in the same area where they live as well as in the town of La Paz. Ruben also sells construction materials. He has a store located in the Palomar area. The place where he grows vegetables is full of earth and dust. Ruben and his wife work every day of the week and pay for services, food, clothing, and their children’s education jointly.
The loan Ruben is seeking will be used to buy improved seeds so he can grow better vegetables, sell them more quickly, and for better prices.
His dream is to have some working capital and tools that help him improve production so that he can have a better quality of life. This is the first time he has asked IMPRO and Kiva for a loan.
Actualmente trabaja en el cultivo de hortalizas, y la esposa también trabaja en el cultivo y limpiando las chacras, sus productos los comercializa por la misma zona donde vive y en la ciudad de La Paz. Ruben también se dedica a la venta de material de construcción, tiene una tienda que está ubicada en la misma zona del Palomar; el lugar de trabajo donde produce hortalizas es un lugar lleno de tierra y polvo, ellos trabajan todos los días de la semana, ambos colaboran en el pago de los servicios, comida y vestimenta, y educación de sus hijos.
El crédito lo requiere para Invertir en semilla mejorada y tener mejor producción de hortalizas, para que se vendan más rápido y a buen precio.
El sueño de Ruben es poder contar con capital de trabajo, y herramientas que le facilita a mejorar su producción y así mejorar su calidad de vida.
