Taisisi's story

Taisisi M., 58, is married with six children and lives in the Vaitele area of Upolu Island, Samoa. She has many years of experience in the flea market business, selling clothing to the general public and villagers 5 days per week.

Taisisi has had a previous loan with SPBD. She expects her weekly net cash flow to be about 450 Tala ($187 US). SPBD loans are Taisisi’s only access to capital because she has not been able to qualify for a loan with the traditional banks. She will use this new loan for purchase clothing and handicrafts for resale.
