Nafaa, aged 36 years, is a widow and a mother of three children; all attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Nafaa operates a kerosene-selling business, selling from home to her village. She faces a major challenge of delayed payments by those who purchase on credit. She dreams of expanding to a wholesale shop to increase her monthly income.
With the loan of Kshs 10,000, she wants to purchase 120 litres of kerosene for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to improve her living standard.
