Susana is 44 years old, married, and a mother of four children. For the last four years, she has earned a living by operating a poultry business in Malindi. She earns a monthly profit of KES 6,500.
Susana was introduced to Kenya Agency for Development of Enterprise and Technology (KADET) by our credit officer and she is applying for her third loan of KES 40,000 to buy poultry feed, together with medicine for poultry. She will use the profits made possible by this loan to pay school fees for her children as well as to expand her farming activities.
Susana's goal for the future is to venture into mixed farming, with a view of increasing her income, so as to help improve her family's living standards.
