Penny lives in the Mombasa area of Coast Province, Kenya. She is a married mother of two children, both of whom attend school. She owns a hardware store selling timber, cement, nails, etc. The business has been in operation for five years. She also owns rental houses which provide income, too.
Penny learnt about Milango through friends who invited her to the group and she joined with the aim of accessing credit to improve her business operations. Her main challenge is price fluctuations. She has an emergency need to renovate part of the premises and is therefore asking for a loan.
Penny is applying for a loan of 10,650 Kenya shillings to renovate the store.
