Yessenia Del Carmen's story

Yessinia del Carmen is 37 years old and the single mother of a minor son. She came originally from Managua, located in the country's central region. In her free time, she likes to enjoy the company of her small son. Sadly, for lack of economic resources, she could not pursue a university career. But she would have liked to study clinical bio-analysis. For that reason, she must struggle daily in order to assist and offer her son a better future.

Thanks to her spirit and desire to get ahead, Yessinia's economic activity is selling cosmetics such as body cream, lip stick, children's colognes, blush, eye pencils and shadow, shampoo, talcum powder, and nail polish, among other items. Yessinia dedicates at least 10 hours a day to her business. The purpose of her loan is to invest in new inventory for her business, so that in the near future, she may earn better income.

Yessinia del Carmen is grateful for the help offered by Kiva lenders to people of scarce resources in poor countries like Nicaragua, helping provide a worthy source of work.
