Hantma Group's story

This group is called Hantma and consists of three ladies who live in Aden, Yemen. They applied for a loan of 180,000 YER from AMB. Khamisa is a 53-year-old married woman and a mother of six children. She started a small business selling potatoes, flour and other food many years ago. She found it difficult to accumulate a large amount of money to expand her business because most of the profit she makes goes on her family expenses including clothes and food. Therefore, she decided to apply for a loan of 60,000 YER to buy many packs of flour to use in her business to increase her daily income. She looks forward to opening a retail shop which in turn will result in her improving her income and increasing her income above the poverty line.
