Update on EdwinThis is Edwin. His previous loan was really a great help for his food stall as well as his landscaping projects. The loan also helped with their household's expenditures as well as with his children's education. He and his wife are working hard to provide income for their everyday needs.
He would like to apply for another 14,000 PHP loan for him to buy raw ingredients such as rice, pork, chicken, vegetables and other products needed for his business. He will also use the loan for his landscaping projects. Profits from his business will definitely help him to sustain their daily needs and educational expenses of one of his children. He looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in his heart.
Edwin hopes that his business will continue to be successful and dreams that his business will continue to flourish. He meets up with his co-fellowship* members every week to share stories of his life and business and to draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God he studies.
*All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.

Concurrent and Successive Loans
Our Field Partners often work with borrowers over a series of loans as the borrowers build credit, take out bigger loans, and expand their businesses. In order to make it easier for our Field Partners to post loans for borrowers who have been listed on Kiva before, we allow them to post successive and concurrent loans for their Kiva borrowers. This means that our Field Partners are able to post a borrower's second, third, etc., loan on Kiva without having to re-enter all of the borrower's information.
This borrower has been listed on Kiva before, so you'll see an updated loan description, as well as excerpts of the original descriptions from earlier loans. Most borrowers take out loans consecutively, meaning that they receive a second loan after having repaid the first. However, sometimes our Field Partners give out concurrent loans, allowing borrowers to take out one primary loan and a secondary "add-on" loan along with it. These "add-on" loans are typically smaller than the borrower's primary loan and serve a different purpose. Because Field Partners can now post loans as successive and concurrent loans, you will be able to track borrower progress over time and see the various ways a borrower is working with our Field Partners through funds from Kiva’s lenders.
