Mejumaa's story

Mejumaa, aged 45 years, is a married woman with six children, all of whom attend school. She lives at her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.

For over four years, she has operated a cloth selling business, selling from home to her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business. Mejumaa dreams of establishing a boutique business in the future.
