A loan of $250 helped to pay for fertilizer and farm inputs for her business.

Rosalinda's story

This is Rosalinda, 53, a resident of Silang, Cavite, Philippines. She is married to Rolando, a farmer, and she is a mother to her children. She, together with her husband, manages their own household while operating the business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Rosalinda operates a farm. She grows vegetables and fruits in their farm located in Cavite. It is in the highlands where it is suited to grow vegetables and fruits. She sells her products to market and fruit stores that she regularly supplies and to the local community. She earns a minimum of PHP 1,000 in sales every week.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a PHP 10,000 loan. She will be using the loan to buy fertilizer and farm inputs for her business. Part of the loan will go to the maintenance of her farm. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business.

Rosalinda hopes that her business will continue to grow and dreams of giving a good life to her family. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
