A loan of $1,375 helped a member to buy clothing and shoes.

Manos Unidas Group's story

“Manos Unidas” is a communal bank made up of 6 members. One of the group members is Ruth who is 33 years old. She is a widow and has 3 small children. Ruth sells various products, mostly clothing and shoes. She works from home, not having a facility for her work because of the high cost of renting sites.

She has several years experience along this line and she is doing well. She has many customers that ask for different products. The loan that she has requested will be used to buy clothing and shoes for the Mother’s Day campaign. Those dates are very good for her business because sales increase.

Thanks to her work she can provide for her family as she is the only breadwinner. In the future she would like to have a bazaar in her own facility. Ruth is excited by the support she is receiving in her business. To all the lenders she wants to say, Many thanks! In the photo she is wearing red pants.

In this group: Ruth Janet, Santos, Marilin, Rafael, Katherine Lizet, Naomi Maria Esther
