A loan helped to buy clothes, uniform and underwear for children.

Ángela Palmira's story

The 24 De Noviembre communal bank meets every fortnight in the Machalilla parish in the Puerto López canton, an area surrounded by beautiful beaches and many tourist attractions such as the Machalilla national park which has a lot of attractions in the form of remains of ancestral cultures. This area is well frequented throughout the year.

This is where Ángela lives, she is 66 years old, is married and, from this relationship she has 4 adult children. They live with one of their daughters who is disabled. Her husband makes his living in the fishing industry.

To earn a bit of money by herself and help her husband with the household costs, Ángela makes her living selling all types of clothes, school uniform, ice cream and jelly which she prepares herself. She sells from door to door and also sells from her home. She sells clothes on credit and collects every 8 days. She buys her merchandise from Guayaquil in accordance with what she needs. She has spent several years working in this field and it is going very well for her.

Ángela will use this credit to buy clothes, uniforms and underwear for children. She has been in the communal bank since the beginning and likes it for the help that these loans give.

Her dream is to get ahead in life.
