A loan of $475 helped to buy fertilizer and manure for her coffee crop.

Maria Angela's story

María is a 35 year old woman. She is young, a fighter, enterprising and really wants to get ahead. She is in a common law marriage and has a big family with six children. The three oldest are in primary school. 2 aren't in school and one is a newborn. She doesn't have any education and was unable to go to school because her parents were of low income. They were the ones who taught her to work the land since she was very small. For 5 years, she has worked with her spouse at this activity. They land she plants with her spouse is their own since it was inherited from one of her parents. It is located 70 meters from her house and they walk there every day.

Today Ana is asking for help to buy manure and fertilizer for her coffee crops so she can have a healthy crop that she can benefit from 100%.

Her dreams are to see her children finish college and have better opportunities in life and in work. Working the land is very difficult and the profits are low.
