A loan of $625 helped to prepare her land for bean planting.

Nilda's story

Nilda, 22, is a crop farmer and has a five-year-old son. She grows a variety of vegetables such as beans, potatoes, yucca plant and corn on her patch of land in the community of Santo Corazon. This is her first loan through the institution. Nilda plans to use the loan to prepare the land to plant beans. The reason for requesting the loan is to have the resources to be able to do the planting and have some left over to live on.

Nilda is up against challenges in her business such as bad weather that on many occasions ruins her crops. She will use the profits to improve her and her family's quality of life. She is a responsible, hard-working person who is grateful to the institution for the support shown her through this loan.
