A loan of $375 helped a member to buy fabrics and dishes for resale.

Mawunagoalo Group's story

MAWUNAGOALO is a group of three people who are sisters and friends from the same village. The group’s representative is Amontoundè (whose hand is raised in the photo). She is 37 years old and married to a man named Barthélémy. The couple have four children who all go to school, and one of them still in their care. Amontoundè did not go to school. She and her husband handle the various household responsibilities together. To that end, Amontoundè sells fabrics and dishes door-to-door. She buys her merchandise in a city of Benin. To better meet the needs of her growing clientele, and to bolster her profits, Amontoundè is seeking a new loan from ALIDé together with the other members of MAWUNAGOALO. All past loans were correctly repaid.
