A loan of $400 helped to buy damask and wax fabrics for resale.

Hawa's story

Hawa is a 56-year-old woman. She is married and the mother of eight children between the ages of 28 and 14. She has been involved in retail for three years. She sells fabrics, particularly a very fine type of fabric called "Khartoum", which is the most commonly worn fabric in Mauritania. Hawa actually buys her merchandise in Mauritania.

Hawa decided to start in this business because she had a passion for it. She would now like to develop and diversify her activity. This is why she is requesting a loan of 200,000 CFA francs.

Hawa, who pays her children's school fees, helps her husband cover the household expenses. In the future, she would like to own a shop and sell ready-to-wear clothes. She works from 4 PM until 7 PM.
