A loan of $275 helped to purchase more food ingredients.

Adwowa's story

Even though Adwowa grew up in poverty without an education, it has not stopped her from fulfilling her dream of achieving a better life for her and her family. An entrepreneur for the past two years, Adwowa operates a chop bar (where local dishes are sold) in Ohiaba, near Cape Coast. Her business has enjoyed substantial growth, and she uses her income to help her husband raise their two children.

Adwowa is unable to meet growing demand for her products due to limited inventory capacity, and so will use this loan to purchase more ingredients. With the new resulting profits, she wants to ensure that all her children will be given the opportunity to further distance their family from poverty.
