Jesca is married with three kids, all of whom attend school. She lives in Kampala, Uganda, and also looks after two sisters. For the past four years, Jesca has been selling spices and food at the market. She works seven days a week and sells salad and water to earn additional income. Jesca's main business challenges include seasonality and the lack of enough market to sell her products. She lives at her husband's house and has both electricity and running water and her greatest monthly expenses include rent and school fees. Jesca joined MCDT because of the relatively low interest charged on loans.
Jesca is requesting an 800,000 UGX loan to buy more raw materials to make food and spices. In the future, she would like to accumulate enough profit to enable her to build rental houses.
