Salome is single and has two children who attend school. She operates a retail shop, selling household consumables like wheat flour, maize flour, and sugar, which she has been doing for one year. She faces a major challenge of stiff competition from other retail operators.
Salome is requesting a loan from Yehu, which she will use to purchase sugar, rice, maize flour, and wheat flour. She joined Yehu to access loans to boost her business. She lives at a rental house that has electricity and piped water.
