Shahida's Group's story

Shahida is a kind and honest lady. She is 48 years old, and she belongs to Lahore, Pakistan. Her husband owns a small fruit shop in the market, which is the only source of income for their family. They belong to a poor family and are going through a very difficult time. Her husband wants to grow his business, so that he can increase his income and savings.

Shahida is a member of a seven-person borrowing group that has requested a loan from Kiva's partner, BRAC Pakistan. With the help of the loan funds, Shahida will purchase a variety of fruits for her husband's business, such as mangoes, apples and bananas.
