A loan of $400 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Lola's story

Lola, 47, is married to Humberto who is a farmer. She lives in her own house with her spouse and two children. The activity Lola carries out is selling basic staple grocery items and to do so she has a store that she set up some time ago at home due to the economic need her family was experiencing at the time. Among the products she sells are rice, sugar, eggs, milk, flour, noodles and bananas, among others.

She’s been in business for a year and this makes it possible for her to earn extra income to help her husband with basic household expenses. The positive result her business is having motivates her to continue forward stocking it with a larger amount of goods.

On this occasion, she’s requesting 1,000 soles. She’s grateful for the opportunity she’s being given to reach her work goals. She will use the requested amount to buy rice, sugar, milk and eggs to stock her store.
