A loan of $400 helped to buy a variety of clothing to sell.

Miryam's story

Miryam is 38 years old and single. She lives with her parents in their house where she was born. For four years now she has been working selling a variety of clothing. During the mornings she works as a teacher in the school in her town, and in the afternoons she devotes her time to selling various articles of clothing to her customers. She buys imported clothing for her business, because she says “people prefer those types of designs.” She receives orders throughout the month, and during festivals she receives even more orders. She hopes to open a shop and sell imported, quality clothing to her customers, and to gradually grow her shop into a large and prosperous business.

This is Miryam’s first loan with Kiva. She says that she is grateful for the financial support and that she promises to make her payments on time. She will use the requested 1000 PEN to buy a variety of clothing to sell.
