A loan of $425 helped to invest in working capital and stock his business with pants, skirts, shirts, t-shirts and other garments.

Pedro Jose's story

Pedro, 26, is single and lives in Managua, central region of the country. He likes to spend his free time with his friends going to the movies, for example. Unfortunately, he could not go to the university because he lacked the money, but he would have liked to study Civil Engineering.

Thanks to his hard work and will to succeed, he now works selling clothes (pants, skirts, shirts, t-shirts, underwear, sheets, shorts, dresses, etc.). He has been doing this for fifteen years and works approximately nine hours every day in his locality.

With this loan, he will invest in working capital and stock his business in order to receive a better income in the near future. Pedro José is grateful to Kiva lenders for the help they give to people with fewer resources from poor countries like Nicaragua, which gives them the opportunity to have a decent job.
