Riziki is a married woman. She has five kids who attend school. Her husband is a farmer. Together they own a house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
Riziki has operated a shop kiosk business for the past four years. Her potential clients are neighbors and passersby. She dreams of establishing a wholesale shop in the future.
With the KES 30,000 she wants to purchase bundles of wheat flour, maize flour, beans, and sugar. She decided to join Yehu to access financial support to improve her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
