Therese's Group's story

This group was created in May of 2007. It is composed of members who come from the same village and who are all involved in working on banana plantations.

The one standing on the extreme right of the photo with her left arm raised is the leader of the group. She is 49 years old, widowed, and has five children.

She is in the business of selling bananas. She has her own plantation which she manages, and after the harvest she sells the fruits.

With the loan from CAURIE, she plans to invest 100,000 F in her plantation.

Her goal is to contribute to her family responsibilities and to increase her savings.
