Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Susan's story

As a married mother of three children, Susan works hard to support her family.

She has a seafood culture business in the Philippines and also earns additional income from a general store. Susan is borrowing PHP 17,000 through Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. (NWTF) to buy nylon, binder clips, bamboo, and other equipment for her seafood culture business.

Susan has been sustaining her business activities through her past two loans from NWTF. She hopes that her hard work will help her attain her dream to build and expand her business, to secure the future of her family.
