Yim is 30 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for more than ten years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband is a construction foreman who makes an income of $10 each day.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Yim is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase timber to manufacture a boat to sell. By doing so, she would be able to earn more income for her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she plans to build a house as soon as possible.
