A loan of $2,200 helped to buy four young bulls.

Arman's story

The young farmer Arman was born in the village Khnatsakh that is in the Kapan district. Arman moved to the town of Kadjaran and, since 2000, has lived there with his wife and four-year-old son.

Arman from an early age has been involved in raising cattle in his native village. At first he helped his father, but now he has his own farm. Arman already has nine cows and 15 sheep.

Arman sells meat and dairy products in the markets of Kapan and Kadjaran. Arman manages with his large cattle by himself; his wife is bringing up their son and is not able to help her husband much with the agriculture.

Arman loves his homeland, especially his native corner and never despite the difficulties has thought to leave the country for work abroad. Arman's big dream is to have many children and to teach the agriculture and animal husbandry.

Arman needs a loan to buy four young bulls, from which he expects in a year to get a decent profit. This is the first deal Arman has had with Kiva and he hopes for further cooperation with Kiva Lenders.
