A loan of $775 helped a member to renovate her husband's butcher shop to add more space.

Khalida Group's story

Khalida is a 34-year-old hardworking and diligent woman. She has three children, and her husband has been running a butcher shop for 10 years. He sells fresh meat, and his clients are very satisfied with his services. Because of this, his customer base is increasing with the passage of time.

Currently, he wants to renovate his butcher shop to attract more customers. He would build one more room in his shop to add some more space as the current space is much too congested. For that purpose, as a member of a two-person lending group, Khalida has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan. As this business is the only source of income for her family, this loan is very important for them. Khalida would spend the profit amount on the education of her children and would make them good responsible citizens of Pakistan.
