A loan of $200 helped to buy sacks of rice and sugar.

Rosalia's story

Rosalia is 66 years old. She lives in her parents' house. There she shares the day to day with her husband in the house, one of the oldest stores in the area. Rosalia works selling basic necessity food products such as rice and sugar, among others. She says she is one of the ones who has been doing this the longest and that is why she has a lot of customers. Now she wants to improve the infrastructure of her business and buy fruits and meat, because that is what her customers want. She hopes in a few months to fix up the space to sell these products. This is loan number 3 with Kiva. She says that during this time, she has learned to be responsible and reliable. That is why she is grateful for the financial support she has received.

Rosalia will invest the S/.500 soles in buying sacks of rice and sugar for her store.
