A loan of $575 helped to buy organic compost.

Priscila's story

Priscila, aged 25, is a modest woman. She has lived with her parents in a rented house for ten years. She was always an independent woman, who helped her parents from a young age. "I really liked the countryside and my parents taught me to look after the land. I enjoyed looking after them because I was scared they would hurt themselves", she says. These feelings helped her to forge a career, and for this reason she now works in the capital as a pharmacy technician.

She learned a lot from this experience and she opened a business buying and selling fruits and vegetables. Once a week she transports the vegetables she has harvested from her parents land and sells them for a profit in the capital. Her aim is to build her business and increase her earnings to continue her studies and also help her parents. This is her second loan with Kiva, and she is grateful for the opportunity to progress provided since it has helped her to improve her quality of life. This is why she promises to make her loan repayments on time.Priscila will invest the money in buying organic compost to feed her crops, which are almost ready for sale.
