A loan of $250 helped to buy cinnamon, cloves, and other seasonings.

Deysi's story

Deysi, 41, is single and has two children. She works hard to give them everything they need. She lives in her own house.

She prepares packets of peas, pepper, cumin, bay leaves, cinnamon, and other seasonings that she packages in small bags to sell. Every day she starts working very early, going to each one of the sales stalls in the main markets to sell her products wholesale. Generally she sells on credit and collects weekly. She has been doing this work for a year and she has done it alone since the beginning. She also rents a motorcycle taxi, which guarantees her daily income.

All the jobs she does give her the peace and comfort she needs, because in the time she has worked she has managed to acquire a good number of customers who constantly request her products. This generates good sales for her. She hopes to continue working a lot to be able to make her business grow hand in hand with her finances.

Currently she'll request 600 soles [PEN]. She's very happy to know she'll have some financial support because she'll always feel certain of making progress with her business.

With the requested amount she'll buy bags, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves, peas, pepper, and cumin in bulk to sell retail.
