Maisha Zakhem Group's story

Stella is a 50-year-old married mother of three children who are in school. For seven years now, Stella, a member of Maisha Zakhem group, has been managing her life by running a food shop selling a variety of products such as rice, beans, sugar, maize, flour, etc. She works from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.daily, and is able to earn a fair profit per month.

Stella is now requesting her seventh loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. With her previous loans, all since repaid, she purchased food items for her shop and started selling tap water. Profits were used to pay school fees and home expenses. She will use this loan to restock more foods in her shop. Stella dreams of building a nice house and owning a car.

Stella will share this loan with her loan group "Maisha Zakhem," which consists of 13 members. The members will hold each other accountable for repaying the loan.
