Rosita is 60 years old and married with 3 children. She lives in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental. She owns and operates a fish vending business to earn a living. She has been in her business for over 10 years and earns about 5,000PHP every month. She joined GDMPC in the year 2012 to gain access to financial services to help improve her business and her living situation. Now she has requested a loan of 10,000PHP to purchase fishing materials. In the future, she wants to make improvements on her house and to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
