A loan of $900 helped to finish the interior of his home.

Omar's story

Omar is a native of Nuevo Laredo. He is married to Claudia, with whom he has two children. The eldest one is in high school, his young daughter is in preschool, and Claudia will have their third child in June. Omar has been working as a maintenance technician at the local social welfare office for six years, and in his spare time he works as a blacksmith making crafts like Christmas ornaments as well as windows, railings and doors. He is requesting the loan to put the finishing touches on the interior of his home so he can conclude the work on it. He can pay off the loan with his salary and cover family and school expenses with the profits from his blacksmith business. He wishes to improve his family's quality of life and to have a safer place to live so that when the new baby comes home there are better conditions for it.
