A loan of $400 helped to buy supplies (fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide, and labor).

Basilio De Jesús's story

Condega is a city known as the land of potters for its craftsmanship and hardworking people. Basilio lives in an adjacent community with his wife and two children. He must take care of his children and make sure they receive an education. He works in agriculture as a farmer of basic grains such as corn and beans, and he also has a few livestock.

Basilio is known as an honest and hardworking person. He has 15 years experience working in this field, and he works with his family on their farm, which is approximately 17 acres. The farm is extremely productive and he wants to expand it into becoming one of the best businesses in the area for corn and bean cultivation. Currently, he is requesting a loan to buy fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide and labor.

His future plan is to cultivate more acres of beans and sell them once they are harvested to make a profit. This will allow him to repay his loan and cover his family's expenses. This will allow him to keep working on new farming cycles, and to improve his family's quality of life since this is his only way of earning income.
