A loan of $325 helped to buy and sell milk in garages and at the bus station.

Mariama's story

Mariame is a 53-year old Fulani woman who, like all the other women in her village, sells curdled milk. It is a kind of tradition as she alone has five cows. She has five years' experience. She does not have a specific workload and begins her day at eight in the morning and finishes it at seven in the evening. Mariame is married and mother to four children, the eldest of whom is 15 years of age and the youngest four. She is a regular of the branch and needs this 150,000 francs loan to be able to diversify her products and services as well as to improve her family's living conditions. In the future she would like to have a permanent place and increase her income so that she does not need any more loans.
