A loan of $275 helped to purchase bags of flour, a gallon of oil, and sugar to make fried doughnuts to sell in her locality.

Juliana's story

Torsu Juliana, a married mother of four, has been a food vendor in Likpe Bakua, Hohoe for the past year. She started her doughnut business when she realized her husband, a farmer, needed extra income and their children's schooling was becoming a problem.

Juliana, who uses her income to feed the family, has requested this loan to purchase bags of flour, a gallon of oil, and sugar to make fried doughnuts to sell in her locality. She plans to use the new profits arising from her expanded business to introduce the sale of other pastries.
