A loan of $1,425 helped a member to buy piglets for raising, to supplement the income she earns working as a nurse.

Dalin's Group's story

Dalin is a 40-year-old, married mother of two children. They are dependent on her and still in school. Dalin and her family live in a rural village of the Ratanak Mondul district, Battambang province. She and her husband are nurses, who work in the local area. They have been working in this field for ten years. She and her husband are able to earn about 28,000 KHR per day, to meet the family’s needs. Dalin has been with VisionFund for six loan cycles, and she has completely paid back the past loans. She has successfully used the past loans to better support her family and her children’s education. Now, she is leading her group of four to ask for a new loan. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy piglets for raising, to earn additional income for her family. She hopes this loan will let her fatten her pigs, so as to make a better living and keep her children in school.
