A local villager from Kampong Cham province’s Tbaung Khmum district, Met is 42 years old and married. She has four children in total, only two of whom are dependents. Besides rice farming, which she and her husband work on together as the primary source of income, she also runs a small grocery stall for extra income. After 22 years of involvement in her current business, she is able to earn up to 19,000 KHR per day. Met, a four-time borrower with VisionFund(Kiva's partner), has completely repaid back the past loans with success to upgrade her lifestyle in a good condition. She is a leader of a micro group loan composed of four female members - two, including her, are second-time borrowers, whereas the remaining two are the borrowers for the fourth time. The total amount of her entire group loan is 4,400,000 KHR. Met, whose loan portion is 1,400,000 KHR, will use her loan to plow her farmland and buy more grocery items for restock.
