Harlan Francisco is a Sauceño (native of El Sauce) at heart. He graduated as a Biologist and at the moment he is in charge of municipal services for a state institution. One of his biggest dreams is to have a restaurant since he is passionate about pleasing people's palates and making exquisite dishes.
Now his big project is to take a cooking course at university to later start his business and win over potential customers with the quality of food. For this reason he is requesting a loan with Ceprodel to be able to study this course, since it is expensive and with his wages he can't cover it.
He is asking Kiva lenders to support him with his request to be able to carry out his goals and in the future to fulfill his big dream. In addition, it's a project that can help him a lot even when he doesn't have work.

This loan is administered by Centro de Promocion del Desarrollo Local (CEPRODEL), one of Kiva’s larger partners in Central America. Founded in 1991 and based in Managua, Nicaragua, CEPRODEL specializes in the development and funding of housing cooperatives for traditionally marginalized communities, the provision of microfinance services to small businesses, and the promotion of innovative renewable energy projects. In addition, unlike many microfinance institutions in the area that have chosen to avoid the rural areas of the country due to the increased financial risk, CEPRODEL provides financial services to numerous clients in the agriculture and livestock industry. Supporting a borrower through CEPRODEL means contributing to the promotion and sustainability of this important work in Nicaragua.
