A loan of $800 helped to pay for medical examinations and medicine.

Vilma Del Carmen's story

Vilma del Carmen is from the town of El Sauce, which is about 90 Kms from the department of León. It is surrounded by mountains and wide rivers, making it an attractive tourist site.

She is 53 years old and has four children, only one of whom still depends on her and is in school. For eight years she has worked as a cashier, allowing her to support her children and put food on the table every day. She is an admirable woman who has taken on the role of head of household, like many women in Nicaragua. Over the past few months she has not felt well and wants to undergo medical examinations and buy medicine. That is why she is requesting a loan through Ceprodel, to improve her health.

She is requesting support from Kiva lenders because she knows they help people in need who are unable to meet their goals because of a lack of resources. Only with these loans are they able to take care of their problems and meet their goals.
