A loan of $200 helped to buy sodas.

Julia's story

Julia, 47, is married and has 5 children with whom she lives in the home they own. Julia sells sodas of different flavors and various brands of beer. She has a refrigerator to keep them cold. She has been doing this business for 6 years, running it out of her home. Her husband is in charge of buying enough to stock the store each day. It is profitable work because in this season it is very hot in the city and people consume a lot more drinks. She says that when she started her business she bought from retailers at high prices, but over time she got to know the different distributors that give her the product at a lower price. That way her profits began to increase. This is her 6th Kiva loan and she is very grateful for the support.

With the requested 500 soles she will buy sodas in bulk to increase her earnings.
