A loan of $1,200 helped to buy pants, shorts, shirts, skirts, dresses, T-shirts, and underwear.

Jose Antonio's story

Jose Antonio, 27, is single and is a native of Managua. He lives in a city in the central part of the region. He is known for being a hardworking and responsible person who has a strong desire to achieve personal success. Unfortunately, he was not able to enroll in a university due to a lack of financial resources. However, he would have liked to have studied public accounting.

Thanks to his spirit and his desire to get ahead, he has a business selling a variety of clothing such as: pants, shorts, shirts, skirts, dresses, T-shirts, and underwear. His business is located in one of the markets in the area. He devotes 10 hours a day to his business, and he performs this work with pleasure. His goal with this loan is to invest in working capital, stocking his business by purchasing a variety of clothing to sell. This way, in the near future, he will be able to earn more income. Jose Antonio thanks the Kiva lenders for the help that they are providing to people of limited resources in poor countries like Nicaragua, so that they can have a way to work with dignity.
